Margriet Downing
House Manager
Margriet has been a botanist for many years, and works in the Jepson Herbarium at UC Berkeley. While doing her undergraduate work in biology at UC Riverside, she spent more time in the music department than was good for her biology grades, but the result was a sound knowledge in music history and performance practice. She started singing with the Baroque Choral Guild in 1992 and met Warren during a performance of Schütz's Schwanengesang. She was on the Board of Magnificat for some time, and has been the House Manager for over a decade.
Margriet also manages Magnificat's volunteers. If you are interested in ushering at concerts, helping with office work, or organizing and facilitating post concert receptions and other special events please contact us by clicking this link.

She was six years old at the time, and has grown up volunteering for the group with her family. A recent graduate of California Polytechnic University in San Luis Obispo with a BA in Theatre Arts, Juliana has worked on and performed in numerous productions through the university’s department, local theatre groups in the Bay Area and the Central Coast Shakespeare Festival.
